NSW Small Business Commissioner,
Ms Yasmin King, Giving Small Business a Big Say

Western Sydney Business Connection is proud to present NSW Small Business Commissioner, Ms Yasmin King, at its first Business Leader Luncheon series of 2012.

Small Businesses are the backbone of Australia's economy, representing 96% of all businesses. In NSW alone, there are 650,000 small businesses which provide employment for around 50% of the NSW workforce.

In recognition of this important sector of the economy, small businesses in NSW now have a strong and independent advocate to speak on their behalf.

The inaugural NSW Small Business Commissioner, Ms Yasmin King, was appointed by the NSW Government in mid 2011 to support small businesses throughout the State by:

  • providing low-cost dispute resolution services;
  • advising on ways to further cut red tape; and
  • identifying ways in which Government can create a climate in which the small business sector can flourish

Please join us at the Business Leader Luncheon where you will have the opportunity to meet the NSW Small Business Commissioner and hear about her recent "Listening Tour" around NSW. The Commissioner will also talk about the work already underway to ensure that the NSW small business sector continues to thrive.
