MSS11 Sustainability Training Package

MSA has developed in-depth high level qualifications in sustainable operations and environmental monitoring and technology to help enterprises make their operations more sustainable and environmentally viable. The new Sustainability Training Package (MSS11) was endorsed by the National Quality Council on 12 May 2011.

Sustainable Operations qualifications

The new Certificate IV, Diploma and Vocational Graduate Certificate will support a combination of sustainability skills and knowledge required to work in technical, supervisory or operational roles in sustainability in a manufacturing organisation or manufacturing value chain. They target the skills required to improve an organisation’s sustainability performance.

Environmental monitoring and technology qualifications

The new Certificate IV and Diploma include clear environmental science and technology coverage and enable environmental officers, compliance officers, technicians and field officers to measure and address enterprise impacts on air, water and other external environmental conditions. Other inclusions are implementation of legislation, development and implementation of policy as well as reporting requirements and development of strategic operational plans and procedures.

Environmental Management

The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management has been developed in response to a widespread industry shortage of technicians and (para) professionals who have the detailed knowledge and practical skills required to oversee day-to-day environmental monitoring and management programs and remediation or rehabilitation activities.
