RUGBY RIVALRY TO KICK START SEASON
The HSBC Waratahs are closing in on an epic 2012 Super Rugby season opener against arch-rivals and reigning premiers, the Queensland Reds, at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 25 February.
Tickets to the match, and all 2012 Super Rugby games, go on sale on Tuesday 31 January.

As well as the start of the season, the Round 1 blockbuster will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the famous rivalry between NSW and Queensland. It doesn’t get much bigger than that!
The Waratahs will be looking for a repeat of the last year’s Round 1 performance when they recorded an emphatic 30-6 (four tries to nil) victory over the Reds at ANZ Stadium.
They certainly have the squad to pull it off with the likes of seasoned internationals Dan Vickerman and Rocky Elsomlining up againststar recruits Sarel Pretorius and Adam Ashley-Cooper.
Add Wallabies Drew Mitchell, Berrick Barnes, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Wycliff Palu, Lachie Turner, Benn Robinson, Sekope Kepu, Dean Mumm and Rob Horne, and emerging talent such as Bernard Foley and Tom Kingston, and the Waratahs have their sights set on a big year.
For the Reds, stars such as Quade Cooper, Will Genia, Digby Ioane, Radike Samo and James Horwill are sure to wow fans as they aim to get Queensland off to a winning start.
The Waratahs will return to ANZ Stadium on Saturday 7 July to take on the Brumbies. Tickets for this game will also be on sale on Tuesday 31 January.
