Castle Hill RSL seeks coaches for youth mentoring
The Castle Hill RSL Max Potential is fast becoming the premier youth mentoring program in the Hills District. Last year, 18 young adults from 7 different local schools graduated from the program. Through community and business leaders coaching in personal leadership and community engagement each student was able to initiate a community service project that met a felt need in our local area.
Over 22 weeks, Coaches develop their skills through intensive training, 4 personal coaching sessions and by working alongside young adults from local high schools.
We are now calling for community coaches for the 2012 Max Potential program running March to August 2012. There are a number of limited Coach Scholarships funded by the Castle Hill RSL Club.
For Coaches the program begins on Saturday 3rd of March with coach training. The program concludes for both the Students and the Coaches on Wednesday the 8th August 2012 with a showcase event that allows the Students and Coaches to showcase the projects they have worked on.
Warren Glenny President and Chairman of Castle Hill RSL Group said, “Castle Hill RSL is very proud to be part of this program. This program is not only beneficial to the students but to the coaches as well who learn leadership skills relevant to both their personal and professional lives.”
