Parramasla opens on Sundays, running from 30 October to 6 November. We hope to see you all at Deepavali Fair at Parramatta Stadium this Sunday from 12pm to 9pm.
Everyone is welcome at this annual Hindu festival of the lights with its exotic stalls, community entertainment and fireworks. The day culminates with the spectacular burning of the giant raavan (demon king) effigy. As Sydney’s biggest and best South Asian cultural celebration, presented by the Hindu Council of Australia, Deepavali Fair is a fantastic way to launch the 2011 Parramasala festival.
There are more than 120 separate performances, concerts, showings and events at Parramasala including the free Outdoor Stage program in Town Hall Square. With most artists appearing exclusively at Parramasala for one or two performances only, we urge you to book your tickets early.
